Where do my audio and transcripts stay?
They stay in LecMate’s local Library on your device. PELPULSE’s backend does not store your class audio, transcripts, translations, or notes.
What works offline?
After the speech model is downloaded, captions run locally without an internet connection. Translation and note creation use an internet connection.
What leaves my device?
Only the text needed for translation or notes leaves when you ask. Audio does not leave your device.
Which materials connect to LecMate?
Canvas, Moodle, Zotero, and files you provide sit beside your classes, notes, and practice.
How does LecMate support academic integrity?
It helps you follow and review your own classes and supplied materials. Check important work against its original source and follow your course rules.
Can I record any class?
Record only where you are allowed. Follow your school’s rules and any notice or consent requirements for that class.
